I’m excited to announce the release of Mythos, a clean and fast theme designed specifically for Micro.blog. After weeks of development and testing, it’s now available in the Micro.blog plugin directory.

What is Mythos?

Mythos is built around a simple philosophy: your writing should be the star. The theme uses clean black text on a white background with carefully chosen typography that makes reading a pleasure on any device. No fancy animations, no cluttered sidebars, no distractions—just your words presented beautifully. (And yes, there is an elegant dark mode as well.)

Why I Built This

As someone who values both good design and fast websites, I wanted a theme that loaded instantly and looked professional without any fuss. Too many themes try to do everything (I’m even guilty of creating a few like that), which often means they do nothing particularly well. Mythos focuses on the essentials: readability, speed, and a timeless design that won’t look dated in five years.

Getting Started

I’ve already put together instructions to Install the theme and tweak the settings.

The theme comes with sensible defaults, so you can start using it immediately. But if you want to tweak colors, hide certain elements, or add custom CSS, there are plenty of options in the Micro.blog dashboard and the theme settings..
